What do you do?
So...you do like, commercials and things?
That's usually what people ask when they hear that I do voice overs.
Well, yes, I do commercials.
And a whole load of other things.
Video Games and animation are the other genres you probably associate with voice acting.
But apart from that, most of the work I do, you probably won't ever hear.
Looking back at Q1 of this year, there were also these guys:
💊 Three medical explainer videos, in German and French.
🏋♀️ A long-running dubbing project for Les Mills, dubbing their on-demand workout videos into German.
🚗 A corporate pitch video for an English company I used to work with in my former life as a marketing project manager.
🎭 Two unpaid (gasp) passion projects in the gaming and audio drama worlds that I lent my voice to because I believe in them.
🖼️ A museum audio guide, a genre I have recently discovered I LOVE working in.
🐢 40 episodes of voicing a turtle for a kids youtube series.
🤖 A medical e-learning project that I had to turn around SUPER quickly because there had been some experimenting with AI voices and, surprise, it didn't work.
🍸 A German radio ad where I got to voice a Bond Girl.
🎹 ...and one narration for an electronic music album, which doesn't really fit into any of the usual voice acting categories.
The variety of my job is one of my favourite things about it.
I get bored easily and waking up every morning without knowing what the day will bring keeps me excited, engaged and always slightly scared 😂
Can't wait to see what today has in store...
